Did you know the Oneonta Family YMCA operates out of seven different locations throughout our community?

You may know our Specialty Fitness location, the Family YMCA on Ford Avenue, and our new Sports Park. But these are just a few of the places where the Y is making an impact.

Wilber Park Pool: During the summer, the YMCA operates Wilber Pool for the City of Oneonta, providing swimming, lessons, and our free Safety Around Water program, which serves approximately 100 children each year.

Oneonta High School: Our YMCA Orcas swim team calls the high school home. This year, 19 athletes competed in the NYS Swimming Championships, earning 64 best times and 30 top 16 finishes. Connor Patry also became a state champion in the Under 8 25 freestyle!

Southside Mall: Our SilverSneakers classes bring movement and connection to the community. Members enjoy the convenient location and often stay afterward to have lunch, shop, or catch a movie together.

Oneonta Armory: Our adult volleyball leagues give community members a chance to stay active, compete, and have fun.

Center Street: Our Jumpstart Preschool and UPK programs provide a strong foundation for young learners. Students also walk to the YMCA on Ford Avenue for swimming and gymnastics, building confidence and important life skills along the way.

While the 6th Ward Playground is not one of our seven locations, the YMCA has proudly offered our Junior Firefighter Program there for many years. Children learn fire safety and emergency response skills that could one day save a life.

This is what the Y is all about.

We are more than one building and more than one program. We are a community of people, programs, and partnerships working together to help people learn, grow, connect, and thrive.

Seven locations. One Y. One community.
