Class Descriptions

At the Oneonta Family YMCA there is a class for all levels! Learn progressive gymnastics skills on each individual apparatus, including balance beam, uneven bars, floor, and vault. More importantly foster the love of the sport by becoming more confident, working as a group and encouraging each other along the way, and growing in patience and dedication working towards learning new skills.

Parents and Tumble Tots

This class is designed to introduce young gymnasts ages 12 months- 3 years old to gymnastics circuits in a fun environment. One parent or caregiver is required to participate in the class along with the child. More program details to come soon!


Join our experienced cheer coach in learning the fundamentals of cheer leading and stunting, or even get an edge in your acro-dance or gymnastics routine. More program details to come soon!


Join our experienced coach in learning the progressions of tumbling. This class offers extra practice in the gymnastics floor skills, or any dance routine. More program details to come soon!

The Oneonta Family YMCA Competitive Gymnastics Team strives to create an environment where gymnasts can learn the physical and mental skills necessary to be confident in each level of gymnastics. Our mission is to give gymnasts the tools to improve their fitness, goals, confidence, and love of the sport that will last a lifetime. Our dedicated and experienced coaches work to instill and reinforce caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility through focusing on good sportsmanship, team bonding, and making healthy choices both in the gym and out.
