Swim Lesson Programs

Swimming is an important safety skill, great exercise, and a life-long sport. Oneonta Family YMCA offers swim lessons for all ages and levels, and focuses on safety, confidence, and skill progression. Our programs will run by sessions in our Y small and large pools, throughout the school year.


Pool Rentals

Oneonta Family YMCA offers facility rentals of the pools, gymnastics center, multi-purpose room, and gymnasium. Come celebrate with us!  For more information contact Danielle at or 607-432-0010 x302.


Competitive Swim Team

Our trained coaches work to promote a love of swimming and improve swimmer's fitness level, endurance, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Teams are organized by skill levels, and workouts include endurance, speed, and drill techniques. Must be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl and backstroke without stopping and be able to maintain breath control. Float Night

Every last Friday of the month we offer a themed Family Float Night, from 6:45-8:30pm. This fun, family pool event is free to Y members, and the public is welcome to attend along with a Y member and purchase of a day pass. These events are cancelled until further notice because of COVID restrictions and capacity limits.

Aqua Fitness

The Y offers a vast array of water group exercise programs designed for individuals of all ages. Classes are held in both shallow and deep water and all classes are led by our YMCA-certified water fitness instructors.
